| 5 Nov, 2024 | Arkansas Medical Marijuana Expansion Initiative - GO VOTE | The Arkansas Medical Marijuana Expansion Initiative may be on the ballot on November 5, 2024, if enough signatures are collected. This proposal seeks to expand the state's medical cannabis program by allowing healthcare professionals to recommend marijuana for any condition and enabling patients to grow their own plants at home. It would add nurse practitioners, physician's assistants, pharmacists, and osteopathic doctors to those who can make recommendations. The initiative would extend medical marijuana card validity from one to three years and allow dispensaries to sell pre-rolled joints. It also includes a provision to end cannabis prohibition in Arkansas if the federal government legalizes it. |
